After School Care Program

Our Lady of Victory prides itself in the successfulness of it's After School Care Program. This optional program provides our school families with quality care in a protected environment.

Parental Involvement

The philosophy of Our Lady of Victory acknowledges that the school is a coeducator of the children placed in our care and that only by working in cooperation with the parents and community can we educate our children successfully.

A distinguishing feature of OLV is this parent involvement in almost every facet of daily school life. parents created and sustain a very active Parish School Association and serve as School Board representatives. They can also be found assisting in the classrooms as well as in the lunch room and at school events.

Religious Education

Our Lady of Victory School believes in nurturing the entire child and also provides the following:
Daily religion classes
Daily prayer
Student participation in all liturgies and prayer services
Preparation for Sacraments of Reconciliation and First Eucharist
Student participation in a variety of service projects through out the year. For additional information reference our Faith Formation Plan.

We strive to develop in each child a positive self image; instill a sense of respect for both himself/herself and others; provide for the individual the difference in students' abilities and learning styles; and to teach each student how to think critically, solve problems and make moral decisions.

To better form the youth of Our Lady of Victory School and lead them to Christian maturity, we strive to fulfill the following distinct purpose of the Catholic School as stated in the Decree Of Christian Education by Vatican Council 11 in 1965: "...to create for the school community an atmosphere enlivened by the gospel spirit of freedom and charity, to help the adolescent in such a way that the development of his own personality will be matched by the growth of that new creation which he becomes by Baptism; to relate all human culture eventually to the news of salvation, so that the light of faith will illume the knowledge which students gradually gain of the work, of life and of mankind".

Registration

Registration is open to all students regardless of religious preference and usually takes place in February of each year. Since class sizes are composed of a limited number of children to teacher/teacher aide ratio, a policy statement regarding priority access in the registration process has been enforced.
